Podcast: Symptoms Of Pelvic Organ Prolapse In Women Who Lift Heavy Weights For Exercise: A Cross-sectional Survey

An Interview with Lori Forner, BSc MPhtySt, Ph.D. Candidate, APAM

In 2017, 13 years after Lori completed her Graduate Entry Masters in Physiotherapy Studies in 2004, she started her adventure into obtaining her PhD in the field of pelvic floor health from the University of Queensland, Australia.

In this interview I ask Lori some questions about her 2019 survey publication in the International Urogynecology Journal. Symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse in women who lift heavy weights for exercise: a cross-sectional survey.  We discuss her publication and   trying to decrease the demonization of women who engage in heavy lifting activities.

Lori is passionate about Pelvic Health and is an invited conference speaker and casual lecturer at The University of Queensland. Be sure to check out her Twitter and Instagram feeds and of course, her podcast, The Pelvic Health Podcast, which I highly recommend.  She is passionate about spreading the word about what can be done for pelvic health.    I hope you enjoy the interview.
